“You get to live the life of an Italian aristocrat for a few days, complete with elegant furniture, paintings, a grand piano (tuned), and a superb rooftop terrace. The location is an easy walk from the Coliseum and the Forum Romana. The owner’s representative also arranged for a chef to prepare two magnificent lunches for us on the terrace to which we invited visiting friends. One of the best parts was getting to meet the owner himself, a distinguished Italian scientist. A delightful man with an incredible history. All in all, a wonderful stay.”

Set within an elegant 17th-century Baroque palazzo in the heart of Monti, TreasureRome Colosseum Terrace Daphne offers a rare combination of historical depth, refined interiors, and privileged outdoor space.
The apartment is just a 10-minute walk from the Colosseum and Roman Forum, placing you within Rome’s most iconic archaeological area while remaining tucked away in one of the city’s most authentic and residential districts.
The apartment includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms—one with a walk-in shower and one with a bathtub—as well as a sofa bed in the living room, comfortably accommodating up to five guests. The layout is well suited to couples, families, or travelers seeking both space and character.
A defining feature of the property is the private garden terrace, offering open views over Rome’s rooftops. Furnished for outdoor dining, it is an inviting space for breakfast among orange trees or relaxed evenings as the light softens over the city.
As with all TreasureRome residences, Daphne Terrace is equipped with air conditioning, fast Wi-Fi, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, and cable TV, ensuring modern comfort within a historic setting.
The building itself carries a remarkable past: Pope Paul VI is known to have spent time on the property, and in the 19th century the internal courtyard was used by the Vatican Museums as a workshop for the restoration of marble sculptures. This layered history is still perceptible today in the architecture and atmosphere of the residence.
The apartment is privately owned by a distinguished scientist and art collector, and the interiors reflect a cultivated, lived-in elegance rather than a staged aesthetic. Rooms are enriched with ancient maps, rare prints, astronomical instruments, shelves of books, and carefully selected artworks. Original wooden beam ceilings—hand-painted with vegetal motifs—have been recently restored, preserving the integrity of the 17th-century craftsmanship.
The living area is spacious and filled with natural light, opening onto balconies that overlook the surrounding historic buildings. A grand piano anchors the room, alongside 17th-century paintings and refined furnishings that create a sense of quiet grandeur without excess.
